Specials Night - May 21!

Please join us on May 21 for Specials Night at Douglas Elementary School! It will take place at 5:30 to 7:00pm featuring the following!

• Student artwork on display in galleries located in the first floor hallways and the art room throughout the event.
• Music activities in the cafeteria! Suggested schedule: Grade 2 - 5:30-5:50; Grade 3 - 5:55-6:15; Grade 4 - 6:20-6:40; Grade 5 - 6:45-7:05
• Physical Education activities in the gymnasium! Suggested Schedule: Grade 2 - 6:20-6:40; Grade 3 - 6:45-7:05; Grade 4 - 5:30-5:50; Grade 5 - 5:55-6:15

Tiger Choir - 2/10

We have been having the worst luck with weather lately! I am hoping we will have our first practice back tomorrow. However, in the event of a cancellation OR delayed opening on Tuesday, February 10, the rehearsal will be cancelled.

Tiger Choir News!

The Tiger Choir completed the winter portion of their schedule with three magnificent performances in December. We sang for two in-school performances on Friday, December 12 and also for our Winter Concert on December 16. We performed six pieces in all, including In Summer from the movie Frozen which was a huge hit! Tiger Choir rehearsals will continue on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:30am. Don't forget to arrive five minutes early so we can start on time!

3rd Grade Recorders

The third grade has begun their unit on recorders. We will be using the popular Recorder Karate method in which we will earn the nine belt colors, working our way to a rating of black belt. For each song we learn, a new "belt" will be given, which may be attached to the bell of your recorder.

If you missed the order, you are in luck! There are about 20 recorders left available to purchase for $5.00. This can be paid with cash or by a check payable to "Douglas Band Boosters".
